Big John - Founder, President, Captain

I am a US Navy Veteran, a Paramedic, Captain, Sailor, Diver, Author, Father, Brother, Son, and to some, a Friend. I'm also a drunk and a cocaine addict who suffers from PTSD, Depression, and Anxiety. If you are a potential Adventure Crew Member/Client, I am YOU. 

Following a non-combat trauma event while in the Navy, I lived in fear, isolation, distrust, and anger for many years. I became unrecognizable to family, friends, and to myself. Finally, after nearly fifteen years, I hit "bottom" and  sought professional treatment. 

While in rehab, I rediscovered myself--my passions, desires, interests, voice, and a profound belief in myself. I felt connected to the world again. Wanting to give others the same sense of healing and hope--drawing on many years of medical and behavioral health experience, as well as travel and boating adventures--HI-SEAS Adventure was born. 

Either as a Crew Member or Donor, I hope you will join us on this fantastic voyage of self-discovery. If you do, I promise your life will never be the same.
