Brett Galloway - Director of Finance

Brett  is a Certified Public Accountant (licensed in Mississippi) with 18 years of Accounting, Advisory, Assurance, and Taxation experience.  Brett holds Bachelor of Accountancy and Master of Taxation degrees from the University of Mississippi.   

Brett has spent 7 years of his career in public accounting serving as an Auditor for KPMG, LLP in Memphis, Tennessee (1 year), a Senior Tax Advisor for Ernst & Young, LLP in Memphis, Tennessee (2 years), and a Tax and Audit Manager for The Sparks CPA Firm in Booneville, MS (5 years).  While working in public accounting, Brett served a variety of clients, including individuals, small businesses, large corporations, governmental entities, and non-profit entities.  His time in public accounting provided him vast experience in accounting, taxation, financial statement preparation and audits, payroll, and bookkeeping, streamlining business operations and financial reporting, along with various other finance related areas.

Additionally, Brett spent 11 years of his career in the private sector for International Paper Company in Memphis, Tennessee.  Brett served in various roles within International Paper’s Tax Department, ultimately rising to the role of Senior Manager of International Tax Operations.  While at International Paper, Brett was responsible for tax compliance and financial statement reporting, as well as tax related aspects for various acquisitions, dispositions, and non-routine transactions/projects.  Additionally, Brett worked as a liaison with the external accountants on the tax aspects of International Paper’s financial statement audit.  Working at International Paper, Brett developed crucial leadership skills and business acumen by working with and leading various teams and Federal, multistate, and international rules and regulations.
